What is LibertyGarden?

Liberty Garden is a fantastic new addition to Independence Mall, providing a refreshing break for tourists exploring Philadelphia's rich history. It's also a community hub where locals can reconnect in a peaceful, green space with shaded tree canopies, communal park benches, and hammocks.

What do we offer?

At Liberty Garden, enjoy a diverse menu of savory snacks, fresh salads, and hearty sandwiches bursting with vibrant flavors and varied textures. All beers are locally sourced from Pennsylvania breweries, with a focus on our Mainstay Draft selection. Complete your meal with a refreshing drink from our selection of craft beers, signature cocktails or wines.

How big is the venue?

Liberty Garden can hold up to 250 individuals, generating a dynamic and energetic ambiance in our historic space.

When are you open?

7 days a week, 11am-9pm

What type of food do we serve?

Our menu has been designed by Adam Block, the talented company chef at FCM. We serve elevated picnic food along with specialty cocktails and locally-sourced draft beers.

Do you allow dogs?

Absolutely! We're family-friendly, and that includes your furry friends. Dogs are welcome on leash.

Is Liberty Garden kid-friendly?

We're all about families here, and kids are definitely welcome!

Are people under 21 years of age allowed in?

Yes, as long as they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian

What are acceptable forms of ID?

Below are the forms of ID that are accepted in the state of Pennsylvania: 

*U.S. government issued driver's license

*U.S. government issued ID card

*U.S. government issued military ID

*U.S. government issued passport

*Foreign government issued passports

***NO foreign IDs or foreign driver's licenses

***NO expired IDs

***Make sure it is a valid, up to date, and the original copy

We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and do not accept reservations. 

Who owns Liberty Garden?

Liberty Garden is owned and operated by FCM Hospitality, under the leadership of Avram Hornik. FCM Hospitality also owns other popular Philadelphia locations such as Morgan's Pier, Liberty Point, Walnut Garden, Parks on Tap, Crafthall, Harper's Garden, Juno, Rosy's Taco Bar, Lola's Garden, Dolphin Tavern, and Concourse Dance Bar.

Who designed the garden?

The creative mind behind Liberty Garden's design is Avram himself.

What is the design concept?

Liberty Garden offers a serene escape into the simple pleasures of life. It's a tranquil spot in the heart of a historic city where you can unwind amidst lush greenery, shaded by canopies of trees, and relax on communal park benches or hammocks.

What was on the space previously?

Liberty Garden builds upon the history of the site that once featured a Cafe. Liberty Garden expands on how the café created a quiet respite for visitors to reflect on their visit and absorb the vastness of both the monuments and history which is Philadelphia.
